Boss Walkthrough ------------------------------------------------------------ *This boss guide is in order, the first to last bosses you have to fight on Disc 1. Guard Scorpion Difficulty(1-10): 2 Location: Mako Reactor No.1 HP: 800 MP: 0 EXP: 100 AP: 10 GIL: 100 Level 12 Weak against: Bolt Invulnerable to: Gravity Attacks: Search Scope Scorpion Tail Rifle Tail Guard Scorpion is the first boss in the game, and it is an easy boss even for beginners. You should be able to beat it on your first try. You should hit Guard Scorpion with Cloud's Bolt magic as much as you can. With Barret, attack with his gatling gun. If your HP gets below 150, use a potion to heal. Try using Limit Breaks once the gauges are full. Watch out for the Scorpion Tail counterattack. It does about 80 damage to both of your characters. The scorpion tail is used by Guard Scorpion only when you pound it with hits too much and its tail raises. Make sure when the tail is raised, you don't attack it. You get Barret's Assault Gun for winning this fight. ************************************************************ Air Buster Difficulty(1-10): 3 Location: Sector 5 reactor HP: 1200 MP: 0 EXP: 180 AP: 16 GIL: 150 Level 15 Weak against: Bolt Invulnerable to: Gravity Attacks: Counter Attack Big Bomber Rear Gun Luckly for this fight, you have an advantage, if Air Buster's back is turned, the character on the side where Air Buster's back is facing can it Air Buster with almost double damage from an attack. Use bolt magic and cure when you are down, try junctioning cure and all. Use Limit Breaks whenever you can in this fight. Watch out for the Big Bomber attack, you may need to heal after. Beating Air Buster gives you a Titan Bangle. *********************************************************** Aps Difficulty(1-10): 4 Location: Wall Market-Sewers HP: 1800 MP: 0 EXP: 240 AP: 22 GIL: 0 Level 18 Weak Against: Fire Invulnerable to: N/A Attacks: Sewer Tsunami Tail Aps is a mutated freak of nature. This boss isn't really as hard as it seems, because its Tsunami Tail attack hurts itself for about 100-200 damage if the wave comes from behind it. Fire magic is very effective in this battle, and so is Cloud's Cross Slash limit if you have it. It can paralyze Aps. Aeris will be very useful in this fight, once her limit is ready, you should use it. ************************************************************ Reno Difficulty(1-10):6 Location: Sector 7: Pillar HP: 2000 or 2500? MP: ??? EXP: ??? AP: ??? GIL: ??? Level ??? Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: Bolt Attacks: Pyramid Electro-Mag Rod Reno is a hard boss at the beginning of the game. You can't actually kill him now, but if you beat him, he runs away. Watch out for both of his attacks. But with a high leveled party, you will succeed. Reno's Pyramid attack keeps a certain party member from attacking, and the only way to break out of it is have another party member attack them. You will need to avoid using Bolt or Bolt2 if you have it. Try using Limit breaks, fire, and ice magic. Heal whenever someone's HP drops below 200. Reno's Electro-Mag Rod attack isn't too strong, but it can paralyze a party member. Battling with Reno will take 10-20 minutes. *********************************************************** Sample HO512 and Sample HO512~OPT Difficulty(1-10): 6 Location: Shrina Headquarters- 68 Floor Sample HO512 Sample HO512~OPT HP: 1000 HP: 300 MP: 120 MP: 48 EXP: 300 EXP: 20 AP: 16 AP: 2 GIL: 250 GIL: 0 Level 19 Level 7 Weak Against: Fire Weak Against: Fire Invulnerable to: N/A Invulnerable to: N/A Attacks: ??? Attacks: ??? Sample HO512 is the big ugly alien looking guy, and HO512~OPT are just small pods that HO512 can regenerate. But if you kill just HO512, the pods also die. These boses are annoying, HO512 can poison your characters, which is a really bad status. You should use an antidode if a party member is poisoned. Limit Breaks are very useful in this boss fight, especially Cross-Slash. With Red 13 on your party, use his fire materia on the bosses. Winning this fight gives you the Talisman. ************************************************************ Hundred Gunner Difficulty(1-10): 5 Location: Shrina Tower-Elevator HP: 1600 MP: 0 EXP: 330 AP: 35 GIL: 300 Level 18 Steal: Hidden Artillery Weak Against: Quake Invulnerable to: Water, Bolt Attacks: Main Artillery Wave Artillery Hundred Gunner is a machine boss, so that means you should try to use bolt spells. You can use your limit breaks if you'd like, but they aren't needed too much for this fight. Have one of your party members be equipped with "cure" materia. Watch out for Hundred Gunner's super weapon attack. Its main artillery attack also does a lot of damage. After this boss fight, you have to instantly fight Heli Gunner. ************************************************************ Heli Gunner Difficulty(1-10): 4 Location: Shrina Tower-Elevator HP: 1000 MP: 0 EXP: 250 AP: 25 GIL: 200 Level 19 Steal: Firing Line Weak Against: Wind, Demi, Bolt Invulnerable to: Quake Attacks: C Cannon A Cannon B Cannon Flying Drill Heli Gunner is actually a pretty easy boss as long as you equip your characters with "lightning" materia. If you forgot to, just use limit breaks and if you have the item "graviball" which is effective against Heli Gunner. Heli Gunner's attacks aren't strong, but you should heal once a character's HP falls below 200. ************************************************************ Rufus and Dark Nation Difficulty(1-10): 4 Location: Shrina Tower-Roof Rufus Dark Nation HP: 500 HP: ? MP: 0 MP: ? EXP: 240 EXP: 20 AP: 35 AP: 2 GIL: 400 GIL: 12 Level 21 Level 3 Weak Against: N/A Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: Gravity Invulnerable to: N/A Attacks: Shotgun Attacks: Bolt Barrier These bosses aren't hard to fight, except that you have to fight them with only Cloud. You should focus all your attacks on Dark Nation first, because it sets up defense for Rufus and itself. Dark Nation also has bolt spells that can do 40-90 damage to Cloud. Rufus only can use a shotgun attack only causing about 50-100 damage. Limits are useful against Rufus. You get a Guard Source and Protect Vest for winning this battle. **************************************************************** Motor Ball Difficulty(1-10): 6 Location: Midgar Highway HP: 2600 MP: 120 EXP: 440 AP: 45 GIL: 350 Level 19 Steal: Twin Burner Weak Against: Bolt Invulnerable to: Gravity Atttacks: Rolling Fire Arm Attack ??? For this boss fight, you must use strategy. Any party members you want to be set up in the front are get in the battle in the back position, and vice versa. Therefore, you must set up your party members in reverse order, otherwise you'll have to change their positions during battle. Watch out for Motor Ball's Rolling Fire attack which is a pain in the neck. Bolt magic does a lot of damage to motor ball. Aeris will be very good for this fight, you'll will need to equip her with "cure" magic. Use Cloud's Cross-Slash to hurt Motor Ball and paralyze it. For winning this match, you get a Star Pendant. *********************************************************** Bottomswell Difficulty(1-10): 6 Location: Junon Harbor HP: 2500 MP: 100 EXP: 550 AP: 52 GIL: 1000 Level 23 Weak Against: Wind Invulnerable to: Quake Attacks: Tail Attack Moonstrike Big Wave Water Bubble Hopefully for this battle, you have Barret and YUFFIE to help you. Add the "Long Range" materia to Cloud. Barret should have a long range weapon for this fight. If you got the "ChocoMog" summon, use it. It is very effective. Botttomswell's Water Bubble attack is very dangerous, it stops a character from attacking temporarily in battle. The spell can only be broken with magic. One of your characters should be equipped with "Cure" combined with "All." The Big Wave attack can really hurt your characters, so cure them. After you beat Bottomswell, you get the Power Wrist. *********************************************************** Jenova Birth Difficulty(1-10):7 Location: Shrina Boat HP: 4000 MP: 110 EXP: 680 AP: 64 GIL: 800 Level 25 Weak Against: Fire Invulnerable to: Gravity Attacks: Tail Laser W-Laser Gas Stop Jenova isn't that hard if you have "ChocoMog" and "Shiva" summons. For this battle, instantly summon "ChocoMog" when you are in trouble, it may cause Jenova Birth to be stopped and paralyzed temporarily. Use the "Flamethrower" enemy skill which is effective against Jenova Birth. But watch out, Jenova Birth can also cause your characters to be paralyzed with the "Stop" magic. This fight can last up to 20 minutes. Jenova's Tail Laser causes a lot of damage, especially when it uses it twice in a row. Winning this battle gives you "White Cape." *********************************************************** Dyne Difficulty(1-10): 5 Location: Corel Prison Desert HP: 1200 MP: 20 EXP: 600 AP: 55 GIL: 750 Level 23 Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: Gravity Attacks: Needle Gun S-Mine Molotov Cocktail Dyne's stats seem like he is a easy boss, but the only problem is you have to fight him alone with Barret. So, this fight is just about how high Barret's level is. All you really should do in this battle is use magic and your summons such as Ifrit, Shiva, and ChocoMog. You'll need to cure a lot because Dyne's attacks all cause at least 100 damage. But he'll stand no chance against you if you cure everytime Barret's HP gets below 300. For winning this battle, you get a Silver Armlet. ******************************************************** Reno and Rude Difficulty(1-10): 4 Location: Gongaga Village Reno Rude HP: 2000 HP: 2000 MP: 80 MP: 135 EXP: 660 EXP: 720 AP: 60 AP: 60 GIL: 1500 GIL: 2000 Level 22 Level 23 Weak Against: N/A Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: Gravity Invulnerable to: Gravity Attacks: Slap Attacks: Punch Electro-Mag Rod Fire Cure Reno and Rude aren't hard bosses at all. In this boss fight, you should first eliminate Rude so he can't cure Reno or himself. Also, Rude can do the most damage out of the two. Just fight Reno and Rude as they were normal enemies in the game. This fight really has no strategy except heal when you can and when your HP gets low. Winning this battles gives you an X-Potion and a new weapon for Aeris: Fairy Tale. ************************************************************** Gi Nattack and Soul Fires Difficulty: 4 Location: Gi Cave Gi Nattack Soul Fires HP: 5500 HP: 1300 MP: 200 MP: 220 EXP: 1400 EXP: 200 AP: 150 AP: 10 GIL: 3000 GIL: 100 Level 29 Level 21 Weak Against: Holy Weak Against: Holy, Wind Invulnerable to: Water, Gravity, Invulnerable to: Bio Quake Water Gravity Quake Attacks: Take Over Attacks: Fire2 Aspil Hit Gi Nattack and its Soul Fires equals a tough fight. Gi Nattack has about 3 soul fires on side, and they are a pain in the neck. His soul fires can go inside a party member's body and cause fire damage. The soul fires can heal themselves with their Fire attacks, and Gi Nattak is a tough S.O.B. His Aspil Hit attack can hurt a character badly. These bosses are hard, so curing while you can is very helpful. You don't really have to focus all your attacks on the soul fires, you should kill Gi Nattack first, and the Soul fires die along with it. Why did I rate this boss a 4 instead of a 7? If you use a Phoenix Down on Gi Nattack, it dies, and same for the soul fires. You can also kill them all at once with a Megalixir. For this winning this fight, you obtain a Phoenix Down and a Wizer Staff. *********************************************************** Lost Number Difficulty(1-10): 6 Location: Shrina Mansion HP: 7000 MP: 300 EXP: 2000 AP: 80 GIL: 2000 Level 35 Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: Gravity Attacks: Bolt2 Fire2 Quake2 Lost Number is a tough boss. It has parts of its body in which you must defeat. Watch out for both of its sides, the red side uses powerful magic, and the purple side uses strong physical attacks. So, the strategy of this fight-hit the red side with physical attacks and hit the purple with magic. Limit Breaks are helpful, and so are summons. Aeris' Seal Evil limit break can paralyze Lost Number. After you beat Lost Number you can get the Basement Key and Odin summon. *********************************************************** Materia Keeper Difficulty(1-10):7 Location: Mt. Nibel HP: 8400 MP: 300 EXP: 3000 AP: 200 GIL: 2400 Level 38 Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: Fire, Gravity Attacks: Hell Combo Big Horn Trine Cure2 Materia Keeper is even harder than Lost Number. The easiest way to win this boss fight is have your characters at high levels. Otherwise, listen. Watch out for Materia Keeper's Trine and Hell Combo attacks, to lessen the damage: use the enemy skill Big Guard. By this point, you'll need the cure2 magic and many, many hi-potions to survive. Use the Odin Summon, and use every summon you have. Cloud's Limit Breaks come in handy. Try to use all of the magic you have except Demi and Fire. To make matters even worse, Materia Keeper heals itself with Cure2 when its HP gets low. But you can pound hits on it before it casts Cure2 on itself by casting Haste on your party members. **************************************************************** Palmer Difficulty: 1 Location: Rocket Town HP: 6000 MP: 240 EXP: 1800 AP: 98 GIL: 5000 Level 38 Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: Gravity Attacks: Mako Gun I think Palmer is a joke of a boss. He is slow and his attack sucks. And beating him gives you a fair amount of everything. Hit Palmer with your summons and Choco/Mog, which will paralyze him. Hit Palmer also with all of your magic. If you cast haste, he probably will not even get a chance to use his attack during battle. Winning this battle gives you a Edincoat. ****************************************************************** Red Dragon Difficulty: 4 Location: Temple of the Ancients HP: 6800 MP: 300 EXP: 3500 AP: 200 GIL: 1000 Level 39 Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: Fire, Gravity Attacks: Red Dragon Breath Tail Bite Here’s another not-too-hard-to-beat boss. As long as you don’t use any Fire spells or Ifrit, you won’t have a hard time. You may want to equip your characters with Fire Rings or the Elemental Fire combination in their armor. You should start the battle by using spells like Ice2 and using your summons. Cast Barrier or Big Guard on your characters to protect them from Red Dragon’s severe physical attacks. After using your summons, the Red Dragon should be almost gone. The Red Dragon will harshly attack your party members. Counter by casting Regen to heal. Make sure you keep an eye on your HP, cast Cure 2 to heal or use the “White Wind” enemy skill. Finish the battle by using the “Deathblow” command equiped on one of your party members. You will win this battle and get a Dragon Armlet. ******************************************************************** Demon’s Gate Difficulty: 6 Location: Temple of the Ancients HP: 10000 MP: 400 EXP: 3800 AP: 220 GIL: 4000 Level 45 Weak Against: Poison, Gravity Invulnerable to: Quake Attacks: Rock Drop Cave In Demon Crush Petrif-eye Heh, this is a tough boss. He’s got strong attacks and this is an odd boss. Start the battle by casting slow on the boss and casting Haste on your party members. Next, cast Barrier or Big Guard on your characters to lessen the damage the boss can do. Start your battle by casting the Demi or Demi2 spell to soften up the boss. Start casting Bio or Bio2 to poison the boss and start summoning your summons! Be careful, the boss’ attacks are strong and sometimes causes bad statuses. You will need to keep your HP around 1,200+ and heal any immune statuses. Watch out the Petrif-eye attack, which causes bad status to a party member. You need Softs to heal. When the boss is near death, summon your new “Bahamut” materia to finish off the fight. You win a Gigas Armlet for defeating the boss. *********************************************************************** Jenova Life Difficulty: 5 Location: City of the Ancients HP: 10,000 MP: 300 EXP: 4000 AP: 350 GIL: 1500 Level 50 Weak against: Quake Invulnerable to: Gravity, Water Attacks: Blue Flame Aqualung Blue Light Why does Squaresoft make the Jenova family sound so ultimate? Oh c’mon, these guys aren’t even tough! Just equip a Water Ring to your characters before the battle and Jenova Life’s water-elemental attacks are almost useless. This makes the battle freakin easy. Start the battle by casting Big Guard or MBarrier on your party members. Start using your summons and Quake2 and Quake3 spells to do heavy damage. After, start hitting the boss with simple spells like Fire and Bolt spells. Use the Deathblow command a few times and eventually the boss is knocked out. You win a Wizard Bracelet for beating this Jenova. ************************************************************************ Schizo (Right) Schizo (Left) Difficulty: 6 Difficulty: 6 Location: Gaea’s Cliff Location: Gaea’s Cliff HP: 18000 HP: 18000 MP: 350 MP: 350 EXP: 2200 EXP: 2200 AP: 120 AP: 120 GIL: 1500 GIL: 1500 Level 43 Level 43 Weak Against: N/A Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: Fire, Gravity Invulnerable to: Ice, Gravity Attacks: Frozen Breath Attacks: Frozen Breath Earthquake (Quake3) Earthquake (Quake3) Here’s one of the toughest bosses in Final Fantasy 7. An easy way to beat it is to be high leveled, have the right materia equipped on certain characters, and have a huge arsenal of different types of Materia. This fight is kind of tricky and you need a little strategy. Schizo has two parts, a right fire-based side and a left ice-based body. So that means, you can’t attack the right side with fire, and the left side with ice. Avoid summoning Shiva and Ifrit, look for other summons like Odin or Titan. Don’t equip characters with the “Fire-All” or “Ice-All” materia. Use your strongest summons and you will find Enemy skills a little useful. Start the battle by casting Big Guard on everyone as well as haste. Keep watch on your HP cause both sides of Schizo cast Quake3. The “Added-Cut” materia is useful, and so is the Deathblow command. You may want to take away Schizo’s magic power by using the Magic Hammer Enemy Skill. It won’t take long before the boss runs out of MP. If you keep on getting hit badly, cast Regen and cure with Cure2 or Cure3. I would advise that you kill the Left Schizo first and then the Right Schizo, or vice versa because they have a devastating finishing move. For beating Schizo’s two parts, you get a Dragon Fang, which isn‘t a very big prize. ************************************************************************ Jenova Death Difficulty: 5 Location: Whirlwind Maze HP: 25000 MP: 800 EXP: 6000 AP: 400 GIL: 5000 Level 55 Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: Gravity Attacks: Silence Red Light Tropic Wind Hey, it’s another Jenova! How many more can there be? Well, this boss is no sweat, but the only bad thing that can happen is that if you have no Esunas and the boss casts Silence, you’ll be dead. Jenova Death is a “hellish” boss, with fire based attacks. What you need to do in this battle is equip your characters with anything that defends against fire. Jenova Death has a couple of strong attacks, but they will not K.O. one character. To make the damage more minor, cast Mbarrier or Big Guard on your characters. Cast Regen on the party member who is getting severely hurt. If you can’t stand being hurt severely, cast Slow on Jenova to make it slow down and cast Haste on your party members to speed up the battle. Use your best summons, and a couple of Deathblow attacks, the boss eventually will disappear. For winning this battle, you get a Reflect Ring. ************************************************************************ Ultimate Weapon (1st) Difficulty: 8 Location: Mideel (1st time must fight) HP: around 2,000-10,000 MP: 400 EXP: N/A AP: N/A GIL: 25000 Level 60 Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: N/A Attacks: Quake2 N/A Here’s the near ultimate boss. But this is not even a boss to and as hard as the Ruby Weapon and Emerald Weapon. But hell, Ultimate Weapon has super strong magic spells like the Quake2, which does 1500-2000 damage! He also has many other strong spells, but this means your limit breaks will build up easily. What you’ll have to do is cast MBarrier or Big Guard and Regen to heal your characters and prevent heavy damage. You need to cast Haste to speed up your turn and end the battle quickly by using spells and summons. Limit Breaks are the best attacks in this battle, and after you have hurt Ultimate Weapon with a barrage of limit breaks, it gives up and flies away. You can still battle it later on Disc 3. ************************************************************************ Carry Armor Difficulty: 7 Location: Underwater Reactor HP: 24000 MP: 200 EXP: 2800 AP: 240 GIL: 4000 Level 45 Weak Against: Lighting(Bolt or Thunder) Invulnerable to: Poison, Gravity Attacks: Lapis Laser Damn! It seems that strong and tough bosses are loaded near the end of Disc 2 of Final Fantasy 7! This boss is such an annoying stick. First of all, it has an attack that claws one or two of your characters making them defensive less until you break the arm! And you must hurt your helpless character if you are to break the arm! But you’ll need to still win with your character(s) left. Equip everyone equally, and don’t make one character have all the dominant power! The Ramuh Summon Materia is really useful, and so are Bolt2 and Bolt3 Spells. Your MBarrier and Big Guard Enemy Skill are great defensive commands. You should start your battle by doing that. Then cast Haste on all your characters. This should help. Summon Ramuh and use your Bolt3 spells, and the Carry Armor should be hurt quite badly. It may have picked up one of your characters already, so be prepared. Keep an eye out on your HP. Next, summon the Neo Bahamut and Bahamut summon materias. If Cloud hasn’t been “clawed” by the Carry Armor, have him use the Deathblow command and by now, it should do lots of damage. After Carry Armor’s arms are destroyed, the “caught” character will be free. After this, things get a little lighter. The Carry Armor may use its power Lapis Laser attack, and you definitely have to keep an eye on your HP. Use all of your summons and limit breaks. The Carry Armor will die out soon enough. For winning this battle, you get a God’s Hand(Tifa’s weapon). ************************************************************************ Rude (Rocket Town) Difficulty: 3 Location: Rocket Town HP: 9000 MP: 240 EXP: 3400 AP: 80 GIL: 3000 Level 42 Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: Gravity Attacks: Punch Grand Spark Bolt2 MBarrier Not even a tough boss. Rude is a one man boss accompanied by 2 Attack Squad enemies. Just start your battle by taking care of the Attack Squad and then Rude. Attack Rude with a couple of Limit Breaks and summons. He will have about 1000-2000 HP left, and you can finish off Rude with magic spells and the Deathblow command. The only worry about Rude is that he has the Grand Spark which causes about 1000 damage and Rude is able to use it frequently. But the Big Guard Enemy Skill will cut down the damage. ************************************************************************ Diamond Weapon Difficulty: 7 Location: Midgar Coast HP: 100,000 MP: 400 EXP: 35000 AP: 3500 GIL: 60000? Level: ??? Steal: Rising Sun Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: N/A Attacks: Diamond Flash Laser Ray Ok, this is a very tough fight. You need a strong and solid arsenal of materia plus high leveled characters. Don’t overload materia on your characters or you’ll die. You’ll really need the Quadra Magic materia, Final Attack, Magic Counter, Counter, Added Effect, HP Plus, MP Plus materia. Summons you should have equipped are: Odin, Knights of The Round, Typhoon, Bahamut Zero, Neo Bahamut, Alexander, Hades, or Phoenix. You will need almost every enemy skill up to this point. Magic spells are your secondary offense, you need Ice3, Fire3, Cure3, Regen, Bolt3, Quake3, Contain materia, Demi3, Barrier materia, Comet materia, Full Cure materia, Ultima materia, and some other powerful spells. Equip the Ribbon accessory to each character, because it will be very useful. If you have your character’s ultimate weapons, it won’t matter because physical attacks don’t hurt the Diamond Weapon, but Level 3 and 4 limit breaks do lots of damage. Cloud’s Meteor Rain is powerful, but you will have an easy time in battle if you already have Omnislash with his Ultima Weapon. Cid Highwind and Tifa’s limits are your second best limits. As for Vincent, he is also strong. So start the battle against Diamond Weapon by casting Big Guard and Wall on your characters. This should be very useful because Diamond Weapon has strong physical attacks. Next, cast Regen and Haste. Start your attack on Diamond Weapon with Bahamut Zero, Bahamut, Neo Bahamut, Typhoon, and your strongest summons. If you already have Knights of the Round or used Cloud’s Omnislash, this battle would be over already. After using your strongest summons, you will need to depend on your items that restore MP and magic. If you have Ultima equipped and junctioned to Quadra Magic, you will do tons of damage. The Bolt3-Quadra Magic, Fire3-Quadra Magic, Comet2-Quadra Magic, and Ice3-Quadra Magic will also work very well. The Diamond Weapon attacks physically at first, so keep an eye on your HP. Diamond Weapon should start counting down when around 20,000 HP left. This means it is counting down to the Diamond Flash attack, and when it hits 1, it will connect. Be careful, but if you have the Ribbon Accessory equipped, your characters won’t be “muted.” You may destroy it before it reaches 1, but always be prepared. If the Diamond Weapon hits you with the Diamond Flash, heal with the Cure3 or Cure3-all combination as soon as possible. Before you kill off Diamond Weapon, steal from it a Rising Sun, Yuffie’s Weapon. ************************************************************************ Reno Rude Location: Midgar Location: Midgar Difficulty: 6 Difficulty: 6 HP: 25000 HP: 28000 MP: 200 MP: 250 EXP: 5500 EXP: 5500 AP: 600 AP: 600 GIL: 5000 GIL: 5000 Level 50 Level 51 Steal: Toughness Ring Steal: Ziedrich Weak Against: N/A Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: Gravity, Lighting Invulnerable to: Gravity, Fire Attacks: Turklight Attacks: Punch Electropod Grand Spark Slap Elena Location: Midgar Difficulty: 6 HP: 30000 MP: 100 EXP: 6400 AP: 800 GIL: 7000 Level 53 Steal: Minerva Bracelet Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: Gravity, Ice Attacks: Flame Light Confu These 3 Turks are your rivals. This time, they’ve made it fair, 3 on 3. But so, you have the better materia and attacks then they do. You will also need to be high levels to survive this battle. This will be an easy battle, of course if you have Knights of The Round, which will just make them run away instantly. Otherwise, you will go through a big challenge. The Ribbon Accessory and HP Plus materia are must needs. Combine materia like Comet, Ultima, Quake with all, but not Fire, Ice, or Bolt! Each of the Turks absorb each element, so you may want to keep the Ice, Bolt, Fire materias separate and not combined. Like most battles, your limit breaks are very useful here. But keep an eye on HP too, because these 3 bosses can do lots of damage. Cast Wall to get protection from all their heavy hard hitting attacks. Summon Bahamut, Neo Bahamut, Bahamut Zero, Typhoon, Hades, and cast Quadra-Ultima to deal heavy damage. Continue this pattern and the Turks will run away. You can also eliminate them one by one by one too, if that works. ************************************************************************ Proud Clod Location: Midgar Difficulty: 4 HP: 60000 MP: 320 EXP: 7000 AP: 1000 GIL: 10000 Level 53 Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: N/A Attacks: Wrist Laser Machine Guns Materia Jammer Beam Cannon Rainbow Ray Proud Clod has two parts to its body that you have to destroy: the armor and the body. Proud Cloud isn’t really hard, just do the right moves at times and you will win! Let me warn you about its Rainbow Ray attack, which casts Reflect on one of your characters. Just use DeBarrier to take it off. The only attack to worry about is the beam cannon, which does 1000-2000 damage. Simply heal with Cure2 or Cure3 and you don’t have to worry, or cast MBarrier to lessen the damage. This is an easy battle, use your summons, your most powerful magic, limit breaks, and possibly the Deathblow, 2x Cut/4x Cut, or Slash-All commands. Hey, you can just beat this boss in one summon, using Knights of the Round. You get the sword for Cloud, Ragnarok for winning the battle. ************************************************************************ Hojo Difficulty: 2 Location: Midgar HP: 11000 MP: 120 EXP: 2000 AP: 150 GIL: 2200 Level 34 Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: N/A Attacks: Capsule This is such an easy battle! All you need to do is attack Hojo with the Deathblow command and an attack to win, or use the 2x Cut/4x cut command! Don’t even waste Knights of the Round on this guy! Save your MP! Hojo has an attack called Capsule, where he throws a monster out, a Poodler Sample or a Bad Rap Sample. These enemies aren’t tough, they can be eliminated by a Deathblow command. ************************************************************************ Helletic Hojo Difficulty: 3 Location: Midgar HP: 26000 MP: 260 EXP: 0 AP: 0 GIL: 0 Level 55 Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: Gravity Attacks: Sleepel Confu This is one strange boss. It just has the attacks Sleepel and Confu, and damages you with its physical attack. You should destroy the Right Arm first, then the Torso to shorten the battle. Just use magic or a couple of summons, but don’t waste Knights of the Round on this guy. Soon enough, the battle is finished. ************************************************************************ Lifeform Hojo Difficulty: 4 Location: Midgar HP: 30000 MP: 100 EXP: 25000 AP: 2500 GIL: 6000 Level 58 Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: Gravity Attacks: Combo Tentacle This is some speedy and hyper boss. He’s got some weak but fast attacks and he attacks rapidly. Life-form Hojo’s attacks can also cause bad statuses to your characters, so watch out. A Ribbon accessory is really helpful. So, this battle will be easy and no healing is needed, just cast Regen on all your characters to heal as Hojo attacks. Set up Wall to lessen Hojo’s damage. If you don’t have any thing that prevents Hojo’s bad statuses, then carry lots of Esunas. If you have 4x Cut ability already, equip it on Cloud and he will do heavy damage. Have your characters equipped with the “Counter Attack” materia to speed up the battle. You may only want to use a couple of summons like Neo Bahamut, Bahamut, and Typhoon. For winning this battle, you get a Power Source. ************************************************************************ Jenova Synthesis Location: Bottom of Crater Difficulty: 6 HP: 65535 MP: N/A EXP: N/A (combined with Sephiroth final battle AP: N/A GIL: N/A Level: N/A Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: N/A Attacks: Final Countdown (Ultima) This isn’t a really difficult boss, all you worry about is surviving through a long battle and making the right decisions. If you have Knights of the Round, you can finish this battle easily by summoning it. But anyway, you can still win Jenova Synthesis the easy way or the hard way. One really easy way of winning without using any MP is equipping the 4x Cut to Cloud if he has his Ultima Weapon sword, another character with the “Slash-All” materia, and maybe your third character with the “Deathblow” materia. Just use these physical attacks and the Jenova Synthesis can fall easily. If you need backup, just use the Bahamut Zero, Typhoon, Neo Bahamut, Bahamut, and Phoenix Summons. Limit Breaks are also some ways you can win. If you have everyone’s LV. 3 or 4 limit breaks, you also have a good chance of surviving. Just kill off the Jenova Synthesis before it counts down to “0” and hits your party members with the Ultima attack. If that happens, cast Cure3 to heal, or you may be killed by the Jenova if you stall. The only way you’ll be able to prevent heavy damage is set up Wall or Big Guard at the beginning of the battle. If you can win the battle, you continue on to the final bosses of Final Fantasy 7. ************************************************************************ Biazarro Sephiroth Difficulty: 7 Location: Bottom of the Crater/Core HP: 82000 MP: N/A EXP: N/A (after final Sephiroth) AP: N/A GIL: N/A Level: N/A Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: N/A Attacks: Fallen Angel Demi3 Biazzaro Energy Here’s one bad ass almost final boss. This hellish punk has 5 parts to his whole body: The Head, Torso, Left Magic, Right Magic, and the Core. You have to destroy all his parts to get to the Core, plus this Sephiroth can regenerate dead parts! Damn! Let’s get started, but if you have the summon Knights of the Round, this fight is no sweat, just summon it and it should kill the Bizarro Sephiroth plus its core. There’s an easy way to winning this boss with just good materia and high leveled characters. You’ll mostly need all the summons, all kinds of magic materia including the strong ones like Ultima, and strong command materia like Slash-All and 2x/4x Cut. This should make your battle a lot simpler. Start your battle by casting Wall or Big Guard for protection. Then cast Regen so you can counter Bizarro Sephiroth’s strong magic and physical attacks. Start your battle by attacking the head, Left Magic, and Right Magic with your summons and command materias. It will have about 8000-10000 HP. After you destroy it, aim for the torso, which is kind of tough. But you can destroy the Core and make it easier to destroy the torso, it just all depends on you. If you don’t destroy the Torso quick enough, then Bizarro Sephiroth will just regenerate it’s parts. If the torso goes, Bizarro Sephiroth dies. The only attacks you should be scared of is the “Fallen Angel” which reduces all 3 of your party members HP to 1, leaving them near death. You must quickly heal with Cure3 or “Full-Heal” or any Potion items. When you win this battle, you have one more battle to fight. ************************************************************************ One-Winged Angel Sephiroth Difficulty: 8 Location: Unknown HP: 130000-150000 MP: N/A EXP: N/A AP: N/A GIL: N/A Level: N/A Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: N/A Attacks: Super Nova Wall Pale Horse Deem Shadow Flare Doom Time ? Contain Destruct Gravity This is one hell of a boss. The final boss ain’t a joke at all. You must use every technique and strategy you learned during Final Fantasy 7 and put it all together to beat this Sephiroth. This is one hard attacking boss and a cheap boss. So you’ll need all kinds of materia-for defense and offense. The most handy command materias are: 2x/4x Cut, Deathblow, Slash-All, W-Summon, W-Magic, Mime, and Enemy Skill. The most handy support materia(blue) spell materia are: Quadra Magic, All, Final Attack, Added Cut, HP Absorb, MP Absorb, Counter, and Magic Counter. You should have lots of magic spells including Ultima, Contain, Demi, Quake, and Comet spells. You’ll need your 10 strongest summons, and if you have Knights of the Round, the battle will be somewhat shorter. Hopefully everyone’s limit breaks can do 9999 or more. You will also want to have many cure and heal items. Equip your characters’ best weapons and your strongest armor. The “Ribbon” accessory is the most handy accessory because you will have to worry about this boss’ status attacks. If you don’t have the “Ribbon” or don’t have enough, equip just any accessory that prevents Silence, Frog, and Small. Let’s start this battle. One-Winged Angel Sephiroth will probably start the battle first by casting a huge barrier, Wall. But if you can pull off Knights of the Round before he casts Wall, you are lucky. Knights of the Round does about 2000-5000 each hit when the Angel Sephiroth casts Wall. Set up your Big Guard or Wall spell to prevent heavy damage. You’ll need to DeBarrier his wall the boss casts to shorten the battle. Start using the 4x Cut and 2x Cut materia which should be equipped to Cloud’s Ultima Weapon sword. Attack with your best summons and Quadra Magic-Ultima or the Quadra Magic-Contain combos to deal heavy damage. When the One Winged Angel Sephiroth uses Supernova, it may do around 900-4000 damage. Heal with Cure3, and your Ribbon accessory should save you from a bad status. Watch out for the Shadow Flare attack too, you can also counter with Full-Cure. Use magic spells like Comet too, and your best limit breaks. Tifa, Cloud, Cid, and Vincent probably have the best limit breaks. Keep your HP high and Cloud should hit Sephiroth with Deathblow and 2x/4x cut commands, dealing lots of damage so you make the battle faster. If you can cast Knights of the Round again, keep up a chain of heavy damage by miming it rapidly. I would deBarrier Sephiroth’s Wall first though so I could end the battle quick. Cloud’s Omnislash will also do lots of damage, putting One Winged Angel Sephiroth near death. When you beat this final boss, you have beaten the game Final Fantasy 7! Wait, one more small fight, but don’t worry, it is 99.9% easy. Cloud travels to some place to fight the real Sephiroth, who has only 1 HP. Sephiroth attacks with his sword, which shouldn’t kill Cloud in one hit. Cloud can use an attack or Limit Break. If you haven’t obtained the Omnislash limit yet, you should wait until it’s available and watch it. When you beat this little fight, watch the ending of Final Fantasy 7. ************************************************************************ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 3. Optional Bosses (in Order) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *In order, Disc 1 - Disc3 ************************** Rapps Difficulty: 2 Location: Wutai HP: 6000 MP: 300 EXP: 3200 AP: 33 GIL: 20000 Level: 39 Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: N/A Attacks: Aero3 Scorpion Tail This is one of the easiest bosses in my opinion of Final Fantasy 7. Even if Yuffie stole all of your Materia in Wutai, this battle is still easy with just items and attacks. Just simply have strong weapons and armor equipped to each of your characters. Then fight Rapps. Attacks with limits, which are your best bets. Use any item that is an offense, like a Dragon Fang which is a Fire2. All you have to do is watch out for Aero3, which causes lots of damage. If the boss uses it, heal with a Hi-Potion or something. Soon enough, the battle is over before you expect, and you get a “Peace Ring” item. ************************************************************************ Gorki Location: Wutai Difficulty: 3 HP: 3000 MP: 150 EXP: 1500 AP: 50 GIL: 0 Level: 30 Weak Against: Wind Invulnerable to: Gravity Attacks: Barrier Regen Demi2 Kick This boss is easy if you chose to fight him in Disc 2. But when you can choose to get to Wutai in Disc 1, it may be a little harder. But still, this guy is easily defeated. You can just use physical attacks and not waste any MP from Yuffie. Also, one or two summons can put this guy down, to speed up your battle, equip the “Counter Attack” materia. You win an X-Potion for beating Gorki up. ************************************************************************ Shake Difficulty: 3 Location: Wutai HP: 4000 MP: 180 EXP: 2200 AP: 50 GIL: 0 Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: Gravity Attacks: Beak Rage Bomber Gosh, another easy optional boss. Just stick to your magic spells and physical attacks, I don’t think summons are really necessary for this battle. Just maybe use the Choco/Mog Summon to paralyze Shake and then attack it with Fire2 or Fire3, Ice2 or Ice3, and Bolt2 or Bolt3 depending on where on the game you come to fight this boss. For winning this battle, you get a Turbo Ether. ************************************************************************ Chekhov Difficulty: 3 Location: Wutai HP: 5000 MP: 210 EXP: 2900 AP: 50 GIL: 0 Level: 34 Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: Gravity Attacks: Absorb Stare Down Chekhov is just another easy boss in the city of Wutai. You may just want to use a medium damage doing summon like Odin or Titan to kill him off. Attacks and magic should be your main offense. Equip Yuffie with a Ribbon or Jem Ring at the beginning of the battle to prevent Chekhov’s Stare Down attack which paralyzes Yuffie. For winning this battle, you get an Ice Ring. ************************************************************************ Staniv Difficulty: 3 Location: Wutai HP: 6000 MP: 240 EXP: 3600 AP: 50 GIL: 0 Level: 36 Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: N/A Attacks: Chain War Cry This boss is sorta tough, but he’s really not that hard. He has one status attack, the War Cry which causes the “Sadness” Status. But this isn’t a major status unless you depend on limit breaks for your wins. Start your battle by casting MBarrier or Barrier to prevent Staniv’s physical attacks(if you are on disc 1), that’s if Yuffie’s a low level, below 30. Attack with the summons Odin, Titan, and any powerful summons and you will be able to win quickly. You get an Elixir for winning this battle. ************************************************************************ Godo Difficulty: 5 Location: Wutai-Pagoda of the Five Gods HP: 6000 MP: 240 EXP: 5000 AP: 60 GIL: 40000 Level: 36 Weak Against: N/A Invulnerable to: N/A Attacks: Confu Beast Sword Bio2 Demi3 Trine Cure2 This is a tough boss to fight if you are trying to earn the “Leviathan” summon materia. You’ve got to be prepared if your Yuffie is below Level 30. A level 40+ Yuffie will have an easy time beating this boss though. You will need Yuffie’s strongest weapon up to the point you are in the game. He has three faces, each one with an attack or some part in battle. The red face attacks with the Beast Sword, which isn’t very strong, but the worry about the red face is that it can attack with Trine, which does 1000-1500 damage. The gold face can cast Sleepel or Mini, and it can cure the Godo when its HP gets low. The white face can cast drain, Bio2, and Demi3, which is also a worry. So equip the Ribbon accessory if you have it, give Yuffie the “Counterattack” materia so she can counter Godo’s moves. You’ll need healing items or the Cure and Heal materia. To protect Yuffie from heavy damage, equip the “Barrier” materia and enemy skill materia. You will need to cast Big Guard and prevent heavy damage. Yuffie will need 2 or 3 summons equipped to her, but don’t overload her with summon materia because it can really drain her HP. You will also need the “Deathblow” materia if you have it. You will need to use this command frequently, because it is a heavy damage giver. Start the battle by casting Regen on Yuffie so she can at least heal automatically after the Godo’s strong magic attacks. Start unleashing all of your power until Yuffie’s HP falls below 2,000. If that happens, you will have to instantly cast Cure2 or Cure3. Use her limit breaks, and if you have Level 2+ limit breaks for Yuffie, you’re in luck. Use them frequently because they are heavy damage dealers. When the Godo’s HP falls low, it will cast Cure2 to heal, but if you can hit the Godo with something strong enough to knock it out cold, you better use it. For winning Godo, he gives you the summon materia “Leviathan” and Yuffie’s Level 4 Limit Break: All Creation. If you still can’t seem to beat this guy, come back later in the game, like Disc 2 and it will seem a lot easier. ************************************************************************ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 4.
